The Horror Honeys: Weekly Honey Jam - 'Blue Bayou'

Weekly Honey Jam - 'Blue Bayou'

I'm going back someday
Come what may
To Blue Bayou
Where the folks are fun
And the world is mine
On Blue Bayou
Where those fishing boats
With their sails afloat
If I could only see
That familiar sunrise
Through sleepy eyes
How happy I'd be

I think we're all in agreement that Lawrence Kasdan's Dreamcatcher is a pretty terrible movie, even when compared to the worst film adaptations made of Stephen King's work. And yet, there are also moments within it, when it becomes a sort of lesser Stand By Me, that it has a hint of undeniable charm. Dreamcatcher also manages to find a fairly unique use for Roy Orbison's "Blue Bayou," that will leave the song stuck in your head for days.

Plus, if you ever wanted to create a drinking game involving ass aliens, Dreamcatcher aims to please! (pun intended)
