The Horror Honeys: #52FilmsByWomen with The Horror Honeys ~ Week 46!

#52FilmsByWomen with The Horror Honeys ~ Week 46!

This year, The Horror Honeys decided to take a pledge, rather than make a resolution there was zero chance of us keeping. Women in Film has launched the 52 Films by Women project, in which you take a pledge to watch just ONE film directed by a woman every week this year. Easy enough right? And since this is The Horror Honeys, we are going to guide you through the project, every week this year, with a featured horror film written or directed by a fierce female!

Check out our next pick below!

Director Barbara Stepansky
Barbara Stepansky's 2009 film Hurt is one of those rare horror movies that manages to both keep you guessing until the end, and leave you thinking, "oh, obviously! I should have seen that coming!" Written by Stepansky and Alison Lea Bingeman, Hurt is a family drama about a recently widowed woman who takes in a foster child, and finds that the new girls is causing some tension among her other children. Part desert horror, part evil child drama, Hurt is the kind of movie that pokes at you even once it's long over.

Watch Hurt this week and tweet us
when you do, using the #52FilmsByWomen!
