The Horror Honeys: #52FilmsByWomen with The Horror Honeys ~ Week 35!

#52FilmsByWomen with The Horror Honeys ~ Week 35!

This year, The Horror Honeys decided to take a pledge, rather than make a resolution there was zero chance of us keeping. Women in Film has launched the 52 Films by Women project, in which you take a pledge to watch just ONE film directed by a woman every week this year. Easy enough right? And since this is The Horror Honeys, we are going to guide you through the project, every week this year, with a featured horror film written or directed by a fierce female!

Take the pledge yourself here, and check out our next pick below!

Writer/director Francesca Gregorini comes from a long line of artists: she's the daughter of Bond Girl Barbara Bach, and the step-daughter of Ringo Starr. But Gregorini has forged her own path in the world of film, first with the coming-of-age film Tanner Hall (co-written and directed with Tatiana von Furstenberg), then with her most recent, The Truth About Emanuel. The thriller, about another young girl's unravelling when her new neighbor bears a striking resemblance to her dead mother, has been heralded as a shining example of new LGBT horror. We're excited to see what she does next!

Watch The Truth About Emanuel this week and tweet us

The Truth About Emanuel is available via Amazon Prime, iTunes, YouTube VOD, Vudu, Google Play, & DVD/Blu-ray
