The Horror Honeys: Vampire Saturday Jam ~ 'Bloodletting'

Vampire Saturday Jam ~ 'Bloodletting'

There's a crack in the mirror
And a bloodstain on the bed
They used to dance in the garden
In the middle of the night
Dancing out in the garden
In the middle of the night
Oh, you were a vampire
And I may never see the light

If you were anything like me as a kid, you probably spent a lot of time listening to music that was WAY outside your age range. One of my favorite bands in the 90s was Concrete Blonde, first of all because Johnette Napolitano was a certified badass. But also because their songs were grungy and dark without being too much for my Honey-in-Training sensibilities. "Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)" was the perfect song to listen to while I read Anne Rice novels and eased my way into my horror adulthood. If you've never heard this song before, enjoy! And if you have, journey into the past with me and revel in the majesty of Concrete Blonde... ~RH
