The Horror Honeys: Vampire Jam ~ Superstition

Vampire Jam ~ Superstition

Stevie Wonder ~ Superstition
Vampire in Brooklyn

Very superstitious, writings on the wall,
Very superstitious, ladders bout' to fall,
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past

When you believe in things that you don't understand,
Then you suffer,

Superstition ain't the way

Regardless of how you feel about Wes Craven's Vampire in Brooklynit had an undeniably excellent soundtrack. Stevie Wonder's amazing track is a Honey Jam for all seasons, and while "Superstition" is actually a cautionary tale arguing against superstitions, he hits all of the major ones... the number 13 (my favorite), broken mirrors, walking under ladders... the good stuff, and all with one of the best funk bass lines attached. So, whether you're superstitious or not, cuddle up with your black cat, light a few candles and cover up your mirrors for this haunted Vampire Jam. ~ HH
