The Horror Honeys: Honey TV Buzz ~ 'The Leftovers' Season 2 Trailer is SQUEE!

Honey TV Buzz ~ 'The Leftovers' Season 2 Trailer is SQUEE!

If you missed Season One of HBO's The Leftovers, you missed out. What started as a slowly paced sci-fi-esque post-"apocalyptic" drama became a tense, terrifying glimpse at the darkness of the human spirit when its questioning its purpose. While, yes, I bristled at the extremely graphic animal death in the first few episodes, this is one of the few instances where it makes sense in terms of the plot, so just do what I did and cover your eyes when you see a dog.

That being said, I've been anxiously awaiting the return of the The Leftovers and with the release of the Season Two trailer... I'm a little excited.

Season Two of the drama picks up in Jardin, Texas, where the citizens claim that not one person left in the Sudden Departure that drove the story in Season One. Kevin (Justin Theroux), Kevin's daughter Jill (Margaret Qualley), Kevin's lady Nora (Carrie Coon), and Carrie's adopted-ish baby have all hit the road for Jardin, in hopes of finding a safety they didn't know in Mapleton, especially with the Guilty Remnant plying their trade of being silent, smokey assholes. But of course, all isn't what it seems and it looks like shit hits the fan but quick in the not-so-idyllic Jardin.

Watch the trailer below and let me know if YOU are stoked for the return of The Leftovers too! ~RH

Also... because, you know. We're all thinking it. Will the sweatpants be back?
Oh, how I hope so.
