The Horror Honeys: Undead Thursday Jam ~ 'My Boyfriend's Back'

Undead Thursday Jam ~ 'My Boyfriend's Back'

He's been gone for such a long time

Now he's back and things'll be fine
You're gonna be sorry you were ever born

'Cause he's kinda big and he's awful strong

Hey-la, hey-la, my boyfriend's back
Hey, he knows I wasn't cheatin
'
Now you're gonna get a beatin'

Aspyr and Wideload's Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel without a Pulse caused quite the stir when it was released in 2005. First of all, people loved it. Then, a few senators lost their minds over it, claiming it encouraged depravity among the "youths" by glorifying cannibalism. Really, all it did was prove a bunch of senators don't understand jack about zombie mythology. But the best thing Stubbs did in the long run for the horror-gaming community? It provided us with a killer soundtrack, featuring music from the likes of Cake, Death Cab, and Phantom Planet. One of my favorites, however, is The Ravonettes' cover of The Angels' "My Boyfriend's Back." Because not only is it an awesome song, it's also the name of an adorable zomcom! SYNERGY BITCHES! ~RH
