The Horror Honeys: Murder Monday Jam ~ "Sweet Jane"

Murder Monday Jam ~ "Sweet Jane"

Anyone who's ever had a dream
Anyone who's ever played a part
Anyone who's ever been lonely
and anyone who's ever split apart
Sweet Jane, sweet Jane
Sweet, sweet Jane

Natural Born Killers was a modern day blending of Romeo and Juliet meets the Carl Starkweather and Caril Fugate story with some extra guns, violence and rape thrown in, all set to a fantastic soundtrack. This Cowboy Junkies ballad isn't so much about anything crazy or dark, but it's the perfect romantic background to a story that's anything but romantic (unless you're me, and then it's kind of insanely romantic). The Natural Born Killers soundtrack was produced and edited by Trent Reznor, and this version of the song is actually a cover of a 1969/1970 Velvet Underground original. Endorsed as one of the best and most authentic covers of the song by Lou Reed himself, it's the perfect way to wind down your Murder Monday. ~HH
