The Horror Honeys: Honey Buzz ~ Can we STOP checking into AHS Hotel?

Honey Buzz ~ Can we STOP checking into AHS Hotel?

I don't even care if this is a real poster or not.
It's amazing.
Soooo, I've been trying to ignore news about AHS: Hotel for a little while now, but it's gotten to a point where I actually can't, can't even... and also can't ignore it.

Murphy has said recently that his inspiration for the newest season of his horror anthology series was based on the mysterious death of Elisa Lam who was discovered dead in a water tank on top of a Los Angeles hotel a few years ago... Now, he didn't specifically say it was based on Elisa, but if you can find me some other video footage like this, then this is what he was talking about. Video footage surfaced of Lam acting erratically before her body was discovered and many have speculated that she was confronted by a malevolent spirit. Regardless of what you believe, the actual story of Elisa Lam has been largely ignored by the usually rabid horror movie making community, and her story has been bounced around by several directors and now sits... nowhere. *grumble*

SO, Ryan Murphy is taking his Hotel and populating it with a bunch of white women and Angela Bassett. Of course, the players announced are all familiar faces who have appeared in previous seasons of AHS, which is great... however, one announcement has me a little, chirpy.

Nylon reported today that Lily Rabe is indeed returning to the cast, and she's returning as a notorious female serial killer - Aileen Wournos, and will be featured on the Halloween episode. Rabe's casting Murphy is calling "really fun and bizarre," which actually makes me want to throw up a little. There is nothing "fun" or "bizarre" about the tragic life of Aileen Wournos... nothinnnnggggg.

Fun and bizarre, exactly the terms I would use here.
If you feel like scrolling through all of the dishy character details from the original LA Times article, click here - spoiler alert - everyone is "sexy as hell," even the drug addicts.

Detail I'm most excited about? This tidbit from Denis O'Hare, who is actually the only reason I'll be watching this season:
I play Liz Taylor, movie icon. I’m not actually playing Elizabeth Taylor but I’m playing a person who is inspired by the awesomeness of ‘Butterfield Eight’ and ‘Cleopatra,’ and eye makeup like that. I shaved my head for the part, and other body parts. I work in the hotel.
Yes, please, Denis.

Everyone else? Girl, bye.

AHS Hotel will be taking reservations on October 17th on FX
