The Horror Honeys: Honey Buzz ~ Trailer for Area 51

Honey Buzz ~ Trailer for Area 51

I feel like I should preface all new movie news with a disclaimer. For Area 51, yes, we get a film about Area 51, but we also get a found footage nightmare about some entitled pieces of shit who have no qualms about "sneaking" into a government controlled military establishment in search of "answers" because they deserve to know the truth about aliens and shit. Area 51 was completed in 2009, but is finally being released... Conspiracy theorists, get ready to riddle out why it's been sitting on a dusty shelf for so long.

As if there weren't enough warning signs on the poster already.

The story: Three young conspiracy theorists attempt to uncover the mysteries of Area 51, the government's secret location rumored to have hosted encounters with alien beings. What they find at this hidden facility exposes unimaginable secrets. What the description fails to mention is that they completely fuck up everything going on at the facility and wreak havoc on the entire base, and put everyone in jeopardy... because that's what entitled assholes do. The trailer being what it is, which is a 2:40 spoiler for the whole film, we get to see the group discover a room full of dolls (seriously? Is that Annabelle in there?), touch things they shouldn't and then beg for their nosey little lives.

I'm not normally an advocate of "following the rules" but in this case, some things are better left to Unsolved Mysteries and not to a bunch of morons with a camera.

An honest question: When will this found footage trend be over? I'm bored as fuck and I don't think I'm the only one.

Area 51 should be available on VOD/iTunes now...
You've been warned.
