The Horror Honeys: Honey Buzz ~ Insidious Chapter 3 - ALL THE THINGS

Honey Buzz ~ Insidious Chapter 3 - ALL THE THINGS

There's nothing quite like a good jump scare, especially when you know they're coming. If I've said it once, I've said it at least six or seven times now. I'm TIRED of trailers giving away the ENTIRE arc of the film. Beginning, climax, and sometimes, even the creature/monster/scary thing reveal or in some cases, the entire ending.

I don't know if I'd call this new poster CHILLING.
But the makeup department should be pissed.
What the hell with that photoshopped mascara tear? Mascara does't DO that.

The newest chapter in the Insidious series also happens to be a prequel, telling the story of how the whole haunting madness began and we got that stupid Darth Maul-wannabe demon. Tying everything together is the wonderful Lin Shaye, and I'm seriously so glad she's here because she lends so much seriousness and weight to an otherwise lacklustre story.

What's in the trailer: Teenaged Quinn has been trying to contact her dead mother by trying to contact her in the spirit world. This is a bad idea. As psychic Elise Rainier explains, when you talk to the spirits, all of them can hear you. So, just in case you were wondering, it's the worst case of being on speaker phone ever. Unintentionally (of course) Quinn ends up summoning not her mother, but "The Man Who Can't Breathe/Wheezing Ghost" who appears in the trailer (yup, right in the damn trailer) as an older man in a hospital gown. Which is gross, because nothing is scarier than old man ass peeking out of the back of a hospital gown.  Once welcomed into the world again, The Wheezing Ghost must be defeated because he's feeding on Quinn's soul, and he does this by possessing her.

Oh yeah. There's a possession in the trailer... The creepiest parts of the film (or what I can only imagine are the creepiest) include some leg cast bashing, bones breaking, and an image of Quinn with no eyes crawling on the floor... which is pretty excellent. Oh, and then there's some footage of the exorcism thrown in for good measure.

Please enjoy watching the whole film in this 2 minute and 43 second long trailer.

Do you have to watch the film now? Probably not. But if you can't wait for it to hit theatres, be prepared for jump scare after jump scare on June 5th, 2015
