The Horror Honeys: Horror TV Jam ~ 'Spicks and Specks'

Horror TV Jam ~ 'Spicks and Specks'

Where is the sun
That shone
On my head
The sun in my life
It is dead
It is dead
Where is the light
That would play
In my streets
And where are the friends
I could meet
I could meet

The Walking Dead has had more than its share of memorable musical moments, many of which are thanks to Thomas Golubic, who helps choose the songs that soundtrack the show. On Sunday, as Rick walked the border of the wall surrounding Alexandria, separated from a walker by nothing more than sheet metal, it appeared to be a real turning point for our Ricktator, and one that was soundtracked perfectly by the BeeGees' "Spicks and Specks." In an interview with radio.com, Golubic said of the song, "Closing this episode with ‘Spicks and Specks’ came from editor Jute Ramsey. He pulled it from the very first mixtape I created for The Walking Dead, way back in Season 1. At that time, we weren’t sure of the tone of the series, and I wanted to include some ironic counterpoint songs that played on the apocalyptic tone of the series, but approached the scenes lyrically from a romantic point of view."

There is no question: the music editors nailed it on TWD this week, and that is why "Spicks and Specks" is this week's Honey Jam! ~ RH
