Honey Buzz ~ The Trailer for Psychosexual Horror IT FOLLOWS

People have been talking about It Follows for about a month now, and it's almost driving me literally insane how badly I want to see it.

The story (edited to more closely match what I saw in the trailer): For 19-year-old Jay (Maika Monroe, THE GUEST), who has nothing more in her head and to her character than meeting the perfect boy, the Fall should be all about school, and weekends at the lake (seriously?). Yet after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter - and by innocent, they actually mean sex in a car, and then waking up in her matching bra and panties (LOL) tied to a chair and having what can only be described as "an entity" forced upon her. After being dumped barefoot and still in her underwear with her hands still tied on someone's lawn, she suddenly finds herself plagued by nightmarish visions; she can't shake the sensation that someone, or something, is following her. As the threat closes in, Jay and her friends must somehow escape the horrors that are only a few steps behind.

What you see in the trailer: Almost nothing to give away the story arc beyond what was described in the synopsis. This is me, pleasantly surprised. There are hints that what's following Jay is something corporeal, and not just in her head, a Boogeyman haunting their every step. Like teenagers, there are freakouts, panic stricken driving mishaps and some tantrums.

Now that I've seen the trailer, I can't say that I'm as excited about seeing It Follows as I was previously, but what's keeping me afloat, is the hope that It Follows has a little more to it story wise, y'know, that deeper meaning stuff.

Do I still want to see it? Hell yes.

Check out the trailer and let me know what YOU think.
