The Horror Honeys: Hardcover Thursday Jam ~ 'Paint it Black'

Hardcover Thursday Jam ~ 'Paint it Black'

At Honey HQ, 1999's Stir of Echoes, based on a novel by Richard Matheson, is one of our favorites. Creepy effects, a great story, Kathryn Erbe, and 90s K-Bac? What's not to love? Best of all, Stir of Echoes used a Rolling Stones classic, "Paint it Black" to absolute creepy perfection. Canadian punk band Gob covered the song for the film, and while I only have vague memories of the band and pretty much just think of Arrested Development when I hear their name, they do the original a decent amount of justice. So grab a copy of Stir of Echoes (book or movie) and paint those red doors black, baby. ~RH
