The Horror Honeys: Honey Buzz ~ "In The Heart of the Sea" International Trailer

Honey Buzz ~ "In The Heart of the Sea" International Trailer

If you're like me, and I think most of you are, you grew up on a steady diet of too many movies, and days spent alone in the library reading the biggest, scariest, books you could get your hands on. Ok...so maybe I'm still alone in that one.

One of my earliest book obsessions was Moby Dick. I had so many copies of this novel that by the time I moved out on my own, I had a whole shelf dedicated to those various editions. By then, I had also seen the John Barrymore, Gregory Peck, and Patrick Stewart incarnations of Captain Ahab and my love for the book was undiminished. Imagine my squeal of glee when the announcement of In the Heart of the Sea came out. Wait wait wait...the REAL story behind my favorite book of ever?? GIMMIE. I'm decidedly meh on Chris Hemsworth, but GIMMIE.

The story: At the height of the whaling boom, Captain George Pollard and the crew of the nineteenth century whaling ship Essex, desperately pursued a sperm whale until the sperm whale started attacking back and damaged the ship badly enough to leave the whole crew stranded at sea.

Now, In the Heart of the Sea is being pitched as a true story version of Moby Dick rather than a period drama version of Castaway, but I'm still all over it.

Hemsworth plays Owen Chase, first mate of the Essex, while Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter star Benjamin Walker plays Pollard.

In the Heart of the Sea is out on March 13, 2015, and you can bet I'll be there on opening weekend.
