The Horror Honeys: Friday Favorites ~ Splatter Films!

Friday Favorites ~ Splatter Films!

Oh, the splatter film. While there has always been an active debate over which film ushered in the glorious age of gore-bucket horror (I maintain it was Hitchcock's understated splatter film, Psycho), one fact remains true: the splatter genre is one of the divisive among horror fans. Even the most hardcore horror fan has their limits, and for many, the viscera-heavy splatter film is that limit. Here at the Horror Honeys, where many of us have pretty much seen it all, splatter films aren't beloved by everyone. But for those of us who are fans, there is no question: we revel in the bloody good time specific to films where people quite literally dance in the blood of their enemies.

As this week's Friday Favs, those of us that like the splatter genre have offered up our all-time favorites for you. If YOU have a favorite gore-happy horror film, let us know on Twitter, using #splatterfilm!
