The Horror Honeys: Horror TV Tuesday Jam ~ 'Tomorrow Is a Long Time'

Horror TV Tuesday Jam ~ 'Tomorrow Is a Long Time'

If today was not a crooked highway
If tonight was not a crooked trail
If tomorrow wasn't such a long time
Then lonesome would mean nothing to you at all
I can't see my reflection in the water
I can't speak the sounds that show no pain
I can't hear the echo of my footsteps
Or can't remember the sounds of my own name

What better time to celebrate one of the most poignant musical moments in the history of The Walking Dead than the first Horror TV Tuesday after the Season 5 premiere? In episode six of season one, as our original group of survivors left the CDC with little hope or knowledge of what might be on the road ahead, the strains of Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow is a Long Time" played over the scene. No sentiment could have more true. Each day was a gift for our motley crew... but a curse. And that's remained the theme of every episode since. The Walking Dead has had more than its share of devastating moments, but the scene at the CDC has remained a high point of emotion for AMC's zombie drama.
