The Horror Honeys: Honey Favorite Flashback ~ Javier Pérez's 'En Puntas'

Honey Favorite Flashback ~ Javier Pérez's 'En Puntas'

Last year, right around Hexmas, the Honeys's minds were blown by a short film from Spanish filmmaker Javier Pérez entitled En Puntas, or Pointe. Blurring the lines between horror and dramatic expressionism, this film was remarkable then and has lingered with us since that first viewing one year ago...

If you haven't seen En Puntas before, it is most definitely something that must be seen to be believed. As a ballerina laces up her pointe shoes, you suddenly see that a set of kitchen knives are attached to the toes. The next three minutes show this amazing woman climb on top of a grand piano, and struggle against the pain and fear of dancing on knives to dance. The film is beautiful and terrifying and will shake you to your very core. And if it doesn't? You might be a robot.

Enjoy today's Honey Flashback! Let us know if there is another Honey fav you'd like us to re-vist sometime soon...
