The Horror Honeys: Honey Sci-Fi Buzz ~ Own a Piece of Ray Bradbury's History!

Honey Sci-Fi Buzz ~ Own a Piece of Ray Bradbury's History!

Ray Bradbury may have been one of the most prolific sci-fi authors in history, but he was a collector of things that made him happy, just like anyone else. And as if evidence by an auction taking place featuring some of his most prized collections, science fiction wasn't the only thing that Bradbury enjoyed...

He was a total Disney freak...

William Stout's 'Basroomian Princess,' $2.250
The auction, currently taking place in person and online with Nate D. Sanders Auctions until September 25, features 100 pieces of artwork, ranging from lithographs to personally commissioned paintings. While some of the pieces star at affordable bids for the cost-conscious Bradbury fan ($250), a collection highlight is a Charles Addams painting that featured on the cover of Bradbury's From the Dust Returned, and is starting with bids of a cool $32,500.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bradbury also had 43 original Disney animation cells in his collection, along with original cels from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, which are all being sold along with the artwork.
