The Horror Honeys: Revenge Wednesday Jam - 'Hail Mary'

Revenge Wednesday Jam - 'Hail Mary'

Hail Mary catch me if I go, let's go deep inside
The solitary mind of a madman who screams in the dark
Evil lurks, enemies, see me flee
Activate my hate, let it break, to the flame
Set trip, empty out my clip, never stop to aim

Fact: I wept like a baby the day Tupac Shakur died (and yes, I believe he died on September 13th, 1996 at the age of 25, even though it's still devastating and I would love for him to be chilling on an island with Elvis somewhere). I was infatuated with him... his music, his skill for spinning tragedy into beautiful poetry, and even his acting. Poetic Justice and Bullet remain two of my favorite films. So many of his tracks are amazing, but in terms of those with a revenge theme, you can't get better than Hail Mary, performed by Tupac under a new stage name and featured on the first album released after his death. It's a startling reminder of both the poet we lost and the life that may have contributed to his death. ~RH
