The Horror Honeys: Murder Monday Jam - 'Hazard'

Murder Monday Jam - 'Hazard'

No one understood what I felt for Mary
No one cared until the night she went out walking alone
And never came home
Man with a badge came knocking next morning
Here was I surrounded by a thousand fingers suddenly
Pointed right at me
I swear I left her by the river
I swear I left her safe and sound

Last week's Murder Monday Honey Jam from The Killers was about a boy who is in love with a girl, but when the girl goes missing under suspicious circumstances, the police suspect him of the crime. This week's Murder Monday Honey Jam, from Richard Marx, is about a boy who is in love with a girl, but when the girl goes missing under suspicious circumstances, the police suspect him of the crime. I'm not making any accusations here... But Marx wrote Hazard in 1992 when Brandon Flowers (lead singer of The Killers) was 11. Soooo...

Anywhoozles. The two SONGS are very similar, and while I dig them both, my life-long Richard Marx fangirl status (don't even look at me like that, I WILL FUCKING CUT YOU) means I have to give this round to Hazard. The real losers in this round though? Jenny and Mary. Does ANYONE know what happened to them?! ~RH
