The Horror Honeys: Supernatural Sunday Jam - 'Judith'

Supernatural Sunday Jam - 'Judith'

You're such an inspiration for ways that I will never ever choose to be.
Oh so many ways for me to show you how your savior has abandoned you.
Thank (fuck) your god.

Your Lord and your Christ
He did this, took all you had and left you this way.
Still you pray, never stray, never taste of the fruit.

Never thought to question why.
It's not like you killed someone.
It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side.

Praise the one who left you broken down and paralyzed.
He did it all for you.

Anyone who is a fan of Tool is familiar with A Perfect Circle. If not, you live under a rock, considering they share the same lead singer in Maynard James Keenan. I love A Perfect Circle for very different reasons from why I love Tool. Their sound, while hard, is also so melodic and sexy. Keenan's voice lulls you into a false sense of security. Judith is off their first album, Mer de Noms, which I can listen to on a loop and often do. The song was written about Keenan's mother, who was left crippled after a stroke, and her relationship with Christianity. While not a supernatural song, many supernatural films begin with some action against God. Blasphemer!! - Supernatural Honey
