The Horror Honeys: Gamer Honey's 2014 Wish List

Gamer Honey's 2014 Wish List

A Gamer Honey Preview List!

It's a new year which means only one thing for this Gamer Honey: moar games! Looking through what's expected to release this year all I can think about is how far we've come. When you compare the PS1 to the new PS4 you can see how advanced we're getting; our cutscenes look like actual movies and our heroes are damn near impossible to tell from real people. I am extremely excited to see what this year brings. So here's some games that are TBA for 2014 that you should keep an eye on!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Our ruggedly handsome (read: fucking hot) hero, Geralt of Rivia, returns a third time to kick some Nilfgaard ass. Not only are we expecting an epic character-driven, non-linear story, but we're promised  "a living open world larger than any other in modern RPG history" and has been described as "20% bigger than Skyrim."  This, to me, sounds absolutely beyond amazing which makes it my #1 anticipated game.
Developers: CD Projekt Publisher: Warner Bros Platform: PC, Xbox One, PS4

Dark Souls II
Dark Souls is back and with more of “WTF is that thing???”  Our new cursed hero is on the hunt for the cure for their agony, and what's the best way to do that? Beat the shit out of some monsters! A new revamped multiplayer should ensure hours of play in this destroyed world of death and carnage.
Developers: FromSoftware Publisher: Namco Bandai Platform: PC, PS3, Xbox 360

Dark Souls II

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
Fans of Castlevania get a real treat, I think, with this new release. For the first time we get to play as Dracula, resurrected and ready to cast off his immortal coil. However, Satan is abound and doing is usual death, destruction, and apocalyptic mayhem. In this adventure we will learn the secrets from the first Lord of Shadows and make a deal with Death to bring the end of this serpent of old.
Developers: MercurySteam Publisher: Konami Platform:  PC, PS3, Xbox 360

Wolfenstein: The New Order
What kind of year would it be without a good old-fashion re-imagining? In an alternate history where the Nazis won WWII, our player takes on a difficult counter-intuitive task in 1960s Europe. That's right 1960s. Our dear hero Captain B.J. Blazkowicz will hopefully be able to use the Nazi's superweapons against them and take down Deathshead.

Yup, MOAR Nazi's - Wolfenstein: The New Order

The Order: 1886
Anyone that knows me knows that I have an absolute love for Victorian and Steampunk aesthetics. So when I saw the photos for The Order: 1886 I said “Ooooh baby, come to momma!!” Set in London the Order are those who have been charged with the protection of man for many years. Using advanced weaponry and science, this group of knights have been charged with the destruction of half-breed monster/humans. The trailers released so far have been from the in-game engine and oh man, it's a thing of beauty.
Developers: Ready At Dawn Studios Publisher: Sony Platform: PS4

The Order: 1866 - GIMMIE
